MARTINFELD is situated in the so called “Eichsfeld” in Northwest Thuringia, about 8 miles/12 km south of the spa resort of HEILIGENSTADT and 11 miles/18 km east of BAD-SOODEN-ALLENDORF.
The motorway A 38 passes 10 miles/15 km north of MARTINFELD. From the motorway you take the HEILIGENSTADT exit (No. 5) and after driving through the town on the secondary road L 1005, you come to MARTINFELD via BERNTERODE on the secondary road L 2022.
